Theme: “Beethoven and the Revolutions”
For this session, we worked with the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Jerusalem Music Center.
The theme “Beethoven and the Revolutions” highlights the deep connections between revolutionary music and transformative scientific and political ideas.
The Lumières d’Europe session initially scheduled for spring 2024 in Israel has been postponed to 2025 due to current circumstances. However, the Weizmann Institute of Sciences has officially confirmed its commitment to organizing the session again once the war is over.
The session will take place at the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Jerusalem Music Center, exploring the theme Beethoven and the Revolutions. This interdisciplinary event connects revolutionary music with groundbreaking scientific and political ideas.
